After some cryptic teasing on social networks, New Found Glory have officially announced their nineth studio album. This new LP, with the title "Makes Me Sick", will be available April 28 via Hopeless Records, almost three years after the release of "Resurrection".

The first single off the new album, "Happy Being Miserable", will be unveiled on February 16.

Chad Guilbert (guitarist), about the upcoming album :

Added

"Lyrically, this album looks at our culture and where we’re at—even in ourselves. We live in a place where people, ourselves included, spend so much time pointing the finger at others. They point at everything else they want to fix with the world, but they never really point at themselves. This album is more vulnerable, but it’s a different kind of vulnerability and honesty than our other records. Musically, we’ve found this sort of freedom because of our fans and their loyalty to us over the years. We use this juxtaposition between our most accountable lyrics and our most fun music."

You’re fucking weird dude. After Sticks and Stones there was Catalyst which ia one of their best records and then they just kept making better and better albums. I would have to say that Coming Home and Radiosurgery were probably their weakest albums but other than that they have been top notch. New Found Glory are the kings of Pop Punk. They are the reason for a lot of bands existing today such as All Time Low.

Yeah, for sure. I even loved Radiosurgery and Coming Home! They’re my fav band, easily. They were always better than blink 182.

All Time Low got their name from an NFG song. But wow, i literally can’t stand all time low and fall out boy. They aren’t even okay, they are AWFUL bands. NFG all the way. Actual good pop punk bands (in my opinion) are Seaway, hit the lights, set your goals. Idk, stuff like that!
