Experimental Pop Punkers, Waterparks, are releasing their sophomore effort 'Entertainment' on Janurary 26th 2017, less than a year and a half after their debut full-length, 'Double Dare'
The band recorded the album in secret, with the help of the Madden brothers (of Good Charlotte fame), following an extensive touring schedule that included playing their first ever co-headline tour alonside Too Close To Touch, and opening for pop punk legends All Time Low. They've been through a lot and definitely have done a lot of growing. As lead singer Awsten Knight described his fellow bandmates' work on the album "They sound bigger, they sound like a bigger band that's played more shows, that's got more experience"
These changes show in the lead single "Blonde" taking risks with the incorporation of both heavy and electronic influences, while also demonstrating the ability of the "Parx Boiz" (as their fans jokingly refer to them) to remain one of the most consistent bands in the scene.
"Sometimes when people want to hit different sounds or whatever, they involve a whole lot of people and do all this but, again, there's no co-writes on this album - it's just the band." says Knight. "This was the first time the entire thing wasn't written in my room." Looking forward to the band's first ever solo headlining tour, the 'Made In America' tour, Fans can rest assured they will see the best and most evolved version of the band ahead of the release of 'Entertainment'.
