Square Hammer and Bible were amazing, man. Rats is good, but not on par with their best stuff. I guess we’ll see!

Sorry it’s not Venom. Black Metal and the scene is dead. . .it has been since the late 90’s. Ghost has taken the message and symbolism and transformed it into something different. The absolute genius of Tobias and the rest of the band is far beyond most people’s comprehension. I have loved seeing and hearing them evolve over the past 8 years and they have never been a disappointment. Prequelle is going to be the most epic to date. Have you heard Dance Macabre? HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

It’s the perfect blend of Ghost’s strengths, I’ll be shocked if it isn’t a permanent staple in their live show for a long while.

I dn’t understand why people who claim to “hate” ghost or think it’s “gay” are the ones i see constantly posting on ghost related pages and fan groups. Could it be the green eyed monster? I’d say half the time it probably is.. You’ve got these 48 year olds who still can’t come to terms with the fact that old school death metal and black metal is Dead and Buried..Including whatever noise band they were in, where their only fans were their fat girlfriends..ghost never claimed to be either of these genres anyway.. In fact, in a interview they said they consider themselves more like the doors than any current metal band. Sure they are influenced by bands like opeth, witchfinder general , Amon Amarth, Dimmu Borgir etc. but they are NOTHING like them. I’ve been a guitar player for 24 years and its refreshing to see some unique music being created for once.. It’s performance art, and at the risk of sounding like a dick, it”s not for stupid people. If u dont get it, u just dont get it.
@A Ghoul: Agree with you on the fact that Ghost put awesome melody with guitar and keyboard together. The riffs are amazing and the two guitars utilisation is perfect.

For me it’s the band to listen to right now. Meliora was a piece of art itself and the new one seems to be on the same way for now.
You don’t have to be smart to get their message. It’s just people not liking what they’re doing. Which is totally cool. They can go listen to whatever shit they’re peddling. I personally love the campiness of Ghost.

FYI, Infestissumam leaked a couple days before the official release and Meliora leaked about 9 days before the official release.

Im not that surprised by not having a leak as much as im surprised at the lack of reviews. Usually they come before the release date to pump up the release and the reviews so far ar mostly from some random indie websites or nobody youtubers and it sounds like the only songs they go into detail are the ones that have been heard so far mostly live. It almost makes me think they havent heard the whole album but are makimg up the review based on those songs. Theres so many YT reviewers and noone yet has it up except a 60yr old man and a 17yr old kid and as I said it seems they only talk about the 4 songs we all k ow off making me think they def have no review copies….there isnt even a stream yet.
They’ve done a fantastic job of keeping this one under wraps.
