Fort Minor is his older stuff
Fort Minor is a group
Fort Minor is NOT a group dude. It’s just Mike Shinoda. It’s his solo rap project. Yes, he features a lot of artists but there are plenty of songs that are him and nobody else. Not sure where you got that information from.
First line from the History portion of their Wikipedia page:
“Mike Shinoda joined Fort Minor as a vocalist. Shinoda uses the name Fort Minor for his collaborations with Ryan Patrick Maginn (Ryu) and Takbir Bashir (Tak), who themselves form the underground hip hop group Styles of Beyond.”
Fort Minor was the name that Mike Shinoda gave his solo project. He collaborated a lot on The Rising Tied, and he felt like it wouldn’t be right for him to just slap his own name on the record. Therefore he came up with the project name. Think of it sort of like Nine Inch Nails, which up until Atticus Ross joined was just Trent Reznor, though he collaborated with others very often.
New song rumored to be called About You featuring blackbear
There’s a new song out called “Running from my shadows”. Its awesome !
I can’t wait for it! Hope it leaks in a day or two <3 Or mike gives us an early stream. Miss those days. That never happens anymore :(
