Red Sun Rising, formed in 2006 by Mike Portich and Ryan Wiliams started small by playing in local gigs and bars in Akron, Ohio. By 2013 the band had released two independent albums and by 2015 they were signed by Razor & Tie and released Polyester Zeal, album of which three singles were released: The Otherside, Emotionless, (both reached no. 1 on the Mainstream Rock Billboard Chart) and Amnesia, that reached 8th place on the Mainstream Rock chart. The album debuted at number 11 on the Billboard Hrd Rock Album chart.
On January 2018 the band announced their new album "Thread", along with their first single "Deathwish". The album is set to release on March 30th 2018.
