One of the most interesting artists combining traditional Arabian music with Western, mostly electronic influences, Emel Mathlouthi, is back with new album. Unlike her previous releases, Everywhere We Looked Was Burning was recorded primarily in English. The albumwas recorded in the Catskill Mountains, London, and France. It was co-produced by Steve Moore (Zombi) and Ryan Seaton, and was mixed by Chris Tabron (Beyoncé, Common, the Strokes) and Marta Salogni (the xx, Björk, Frank Ocean). The release is promoted by three singles: Footsteps, Rescuer and Wakers Of The Wind
