Swedish singer-songwriter LÉON announced that her sophomore album “Apart” will be released on October 30, 2020. The album contains 11-track and was preceded by singles "In A Stranger's Arms”, “Who You Lovin” and “And It Breaks My Heart.”
“I wanted to put out the album while I'm still feeling all the songs,” LÉON reveals. “I want to let them go, instead of holding on for too long. People still feel a big urge to create despite what's going on in the world and people still want to listen to new music. In a way, I was forced to slow down and make these songs. That feeling of not having pressure and having time to write has been so helpful to me as an artist.”
On August 7th, she dropped a new song “Chasing A Feeling” from the album. It was written by Martin Stilling, Madelene Eliasson, Fanny Hultman, Amanda Cygnaeus and LÉON. The music video was directed by Bjarke Underbjerg.
She told Refinery29 about the song, “The song came about just a couple of weeks before my relationship ended, but I was in it at the time. This is actually the only song I've written with a couple of girls together, which was so nice. We were talking about... How do you know when you should leave a relationship? We talked a lot about that feeling that I was having that wouldn't really leave me, and we ended up writing the song. And they all could relate. They all were in relationships or had just gotten out of relationships.”
