After working in the studio with Patrick Wimberly (former Charlift member) and hinting songs like unreleased "Nervous Breakdown" and released "Sweet Sound of Ignorance", the France-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles know as Soko seemed to be ready to release her third album.

But. She. Got. A. Freaking. Cute. Baby. Named. Indigo Blue.

So, some time later, after dropping thes single "Being Sad is Not a Crime" and "Are You a Magician?", she's ready to release her (long-awaited-but-worth-to) third studio album, "Feel Feelings", described as 12 tracks of dreamy, spacious, and searing songs about self-love, acceptance and all the complexities of life, with writing help from the above cited Patrick Wimberly, but also James Richardson of MGMT, numerous members of Beach Fossils, and Sean Lennon. The album is scheduled due April via independent Paris/London based record label Because Music.

A pandemic of "postponements".

Added

Just like some other artists have been doing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Soko's new album, originally scheduled for release on April 24th (we were just a week away...), has now been postponed for release on June 12th, via Because Music/Babycat Records.

New date.

Added

In face of recent events, Soko decided to postpone again the release of the third album. She feels it's not right to spend her energy on self-promoting in the current world climate.

Instead, she'll be focusing on "being an ally to the Black community, on educating myself to better understand the ramifications of white privilege and how to work towards dismantling the racist system built upon it globally once and for all".

She adds by saying she wants her baby "to grow up in a society that values and celebrates differences and equality. I want him to be able to witness real progress and for this change to be possible, I must do my part".

She did not stated the new release date, but it's easily found that the sales companies changed it to July 10th.
