French black metal/blackgaze duo Alcest have announced their seventh album, Les Chants de l'Aurore, will be released June 21st via Nuclear Blast Records.
The band also shared the first single from the album, "L'Envol" along with a music video created by French artist Yoann Lossel.
The band commented on the artwork for the new album:
Today we are happy to show you the album cover art, which has been made by the talented French artist Yoann Lossel. It's an oil painting re-interpreting the classic Art nouveau piece "The Spirit of the Plains" by Sydney Long, one of my favorite paintings of all time. Stay tuned for some big announcements tomorrow as well
The band also announced a European tour this fall/winter in support of the new album.
