Histrionic sees the Estonian producer returning to her regular home Not Not Fun, and it's her first LP recorded entirely in the US after acquiring an artist's visa to work in the country. Where past work was often rooted in decay and crumbling samples, Histrionic is said to be "more interested in overtly contemporary sonic vocabulary," inspired by her experience in the UK bass scene in London, her time growing up in Estonia surrounded by Eurodance and her more academic period during college.
