Early industrial trailblazers Throbbing Gristle have confirmed details about their illustrious final album, Desertshore / The Final Report. The surviving members of Gristle (sans P-Orridge, who left the group in 2010) will be carrying on the late Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson's vision: a re-interpretation of Nico's 1970 LP, Desertshore. The release will be a double album, packaging TG's take on Desertshore with another disc, The Final Report. Free of previous contractual obligations, they will be putting their final album out on their own Industrial Records imprint, collaborating with Antony of Antony and the Johnsons, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Sasha Grey, Marc Almond of Soft Cell, and several others. The release date is November 26th.
