Major Lazer, the electronic project of Diplo with Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, barely released the album “Peace Is The Mission” and is already working on the next, entitled “Music is the Weapon”.
It's been known the it will feature collaborations such as with Bonnie McKee in the track “Into the Wild” and Gwen Stefani and Selah Sue in yet untitled songs, but now we have the (supposedly) presence of australian hit-maker Sia (since an excerpt of an untitled song with her vocals have surfaced the internet) and danish singer MØ, who've already worked with them in the track "Lean On". Now, MØ is featured in a remake of Frank Ocean's "Lost", previewed by Diplo via his snapchat.
The album is set to be dropping before the end of 2015…once they decide on the tracklist. As Walshy said, "for sure, we’re gonna release another album. We already have a name for it, it’s called "Music is the Weapon", and it’s gonna come out later this year or early next year for sure… It’ll have a few more club songs, a few more festival songs…but it’ll be in the same spectrum, just super-well-written songs with really great production that the entire world can understand."
