Twin sisters Ásthildur and Jófríður Ákadóttir return with their third LP, Sundur. The title roughly translates to Apart, or [torn] Asunder, a theme reflected in the record's conception and subject matter.
In an interview with Can You Ear It, Jófríður spoke about the upcoming album: "It’s an ode to the past years, since we finished making the last record. For the first time in our lives we went from living in the same house, for the most part in the same bedroom, to spending a lot of time apart, moving to different countries and travelling." She also described the sound as 'raw and real' as well as 'minimalistic and a bit melancholic'.
