Swiss Downtempo/Deathcore act Life’s December have announced their new album "Fatigue". "Fatigue" is planned to be released via Dark Wings (who already released the album's predecessor "Colder") October 14th, 2016.
Deathcore can be disturbing in more ways than one. I always like the sense of dissonance and unease taking hold of you when you start listening to their tune. The Swiss band Life’s December are very good at that.
Their upcoming album Fatigue, signed to Dark Wings records, mixes delicately airy melodies with djent heavy, totally brutal attacks on your consciousness. All this is crowned by growls and screams, interspersed with breakdowns, tremolo picking – the works. The way they switch from an ambient, almost atmospheric setting straight to full blown, heavy growls in a heartbeat is remarkably well done. Need a demonstration? Have a look at Construct, one of the best tracks on the album.
Speaking to the talent of the band is the Progressive flavor of some of their tracks. Just check out the somewhat lengthy O Dulce Nomen Obitus. Further, you will find very unusual clear voice passages towards the end featuring a guest singer in Fatigue, the title song.
