The Atlanta-based post punk group Algiers are hinting towards their sophomore album "The Underside of Power". They have posted a number of teasers to their social media accounts. All Music lists the album as upcoming, and there is even cover artwork for the album over at Bookmat. The album was produced by Adrian Uitley (Portishead) and Ali Chant at Real World Studios last summer. Although it has yet to be formally announced by the band, the album is rumored to be released on June 23rd via Matador with the title track released as the lead single on April 27th.
Hope this is good, I have been waiting for a decent follow up to their first one.
can only really get into the first five songs. Mme Riuex sinks the momentum and the rest of the disc flounders IMHO
