American singer-songwriter Kurt Vile and Australian songstress Courtney Barnett are coming together for a dream team collaboration album called "Lotta Sea Lice". Kurt Vile’s most recent solo LP is 2015’s "b’lieve i’m goin down". In the same year, Barnett released "Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit".
"Lotta Sea Lice" features a handful of covers, including Barnett’s solo take on Vile’s "Smoke Ring for My Halo" track “Peepin’ Tomboy” and Vile’s version of Barnett’s 2013 song “Outta the Woodwork.” Mick Turner and Jim White of the Dirty Three, Mick Harvey, and Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint lent a hand in the LP’s making. The lead single from the album is "Over Everything". "Lotta Sea Lice" is out October 13th via Matador.
