Yeah, I guess they must realize how anticipated this album is. I’ve been checking this site every day hoping it’s leaked. For some reason I don’t think this one will disappoint like other similar releases have in recent memory.
Record companies in general are doing a much better job of keeping albums under wraps these days. I went back and checked just for fun and Blue Record leaked well over a month in advance back in ’09. Only 2 weeks left on this one, my guess it is online by end of the week max.
It comes down to when the CDs and other physical media get delivered to retail stores. I don’t know if Baroness is going to get a retail release, so short of someone at the label leaking the album personally (which could easily cost them their job and livelihood) or someone in the band itself doing it, I just don’t see it happening until it’s either released, or just shortly before it.
Record companies got wise with press copies a few years back, they usually don’t send physical copies but rather deliver it digitally, and on top of that they apply a digital watermark unique to each press outlet/person that receives one. Sort of the equivalent of that episode of Entourage where Ari Gold freaks out about losing his M. Night Shyamalan advance script because it has every page watermarked with his name on it. So he who leaks it is immediately identified.
This album will leak by the end of this week, as Tyler pointed out physical copies will start to be delivered to stores and I am sure there will be a retail release. I pre-ordered the deluxe expanded vinyl direct from Relapse.
Tried to buy the album via Amazon but it’s restricted to US users. Tried to download the link you posted and it’s been deleted. Well, no Baroness for me.

… also the press and review copies.
I think that reviewers only got access to promo streams this time around, actually.

Leaked today. Found it on GetMetal
actually that tumblr link is wrong, realmofmetalofficial.tumblr.com
Link is missing track 3 from ‘Green’.
yep, but it’s missing everywhere…
I don’t think I’ll listen until it surfaces. I’m really dodgy and particular like that.
Honestly, it’s worth it even with the missing track. I listened to it tonight and I’m definitely buying this album the day it comes out.
Well I have listenned, it’s just amazing, I couldn’t wait :D And the missing track has been found. I’m gonna buy it hopefully, what a nice album.
the leak is missing one track off of Green: Mtns. (The Crown & Anchor)
