"Take Courage" is our collective work inspired by two years of touring the last album. Touring brings up so many situations that you wouldn't find in normal everyday life, it stretches friendships, compromises relationships and destroys your bank balance. The album touches on all these aspects, but it's totally not about negativity, it's all about dealing with the consequences and moving on. There's a vast array of different vibes on the album, it's still unmistakably The First, but we've used the band's dynamics a whole lot more than we did last time. If you want all up, in your face rock with pure fret melting solos, there is plenty of that but on the flip side there's other tracks that show we are capable of slowing things down. We've really concentrated on writing some huge riffs for this album, we've done our best to bring the energy and swagger from our live show and translate it onto the CD."
