Diplo has pushed back the release of Major Lazer’s sophomore album, Free the Universe, several times. It's currently going to be released on April 15th.
Free the Universe promises a healthy set of guest spots including Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, Amber Coffman of The Dirty Projectors, Wyclef Jean, Bruno Mars, Tyga, Flux Pavilion, Shaggy, Winter Gordon, Dev, and more.

Apparently. The release is now somewhere in March… I can understand the push back though. There is like zero hype for this album…
Zero hype? This album is literally the only thing I look forward to in my pathetic, meaningless life. Forget having a successful career, watching my children grow up or traveling the world – Free The Universe is the difference between happiness and my lifeless, decomposing corpse floating across the Hudson bay.

It was pushed back to April 9th but Diplo’s released a couple remix packs to tide us over. They’re called “Lazer Strikes Back Vol. 1-4.”
Why did this get pushed back another 3 weeks? It was originally scheduled for November 2012, I figured by now it must’ve been completed but I guess not.
Diplo too busy raking in the Harlem Shake cash from Youtube hits over at Mad Decent?
The release has been postponed until some time in april. An excluse I-Tunes preorder will be availble on the 26th of this month. The preorder will come with an instant download of the upcoming single, “Watch Out for This (Bumaye)”
Diplo has also released a free to download EP called “Lazer Strikes Back Vol. 1”. Links are availble on their official website and facebook page. Two more EPs will be released between now and the release of the album.
