HAS IT LEAKED 2.0

“We are working on the next version of Has it Leaked and we need your feedback and requests”

Has it Leaked 2.0

For a couple of months now we’ve been getting a lot of new members. We love that. But the site haven’t really coped with the traffic all too well. We’ve been fixing bugs for too long now, and we would rather add new features instead. So we’re throwing out the old stuff – And are reading a new, completely revamped HIL. Why spend the summer outside, when you can sit in front of a computer working on a site, right?

So give it to us – What do you want?

Scrap the new Disqus comment feature? Be able to follow artists on the site? Separate streams from leaks (that one is actually already in the works). Member album reviews? A way to get album recommendations? Let us know by adding a comment below and use the vote up/down function to have your say on other members input!

The pink goo is actually being replaced!

Maybe its time to loose the pink goo

A couple of things we won’t add… No download links. And no chat functionality since its impossible for us to moderate. That’s about it, except we’re pretty set on what the new site will look like as well – We promise you it will look and feel a lot better.

So add your comments below (you can now login and comment using your existing account!) and we’ll listen!

An app for iOS and Android would be awesome!

It’d be cool if there was an IMDB type rating system. yeah ,there’s a hype meter, but I never know how good it actually is.

    Thanks!

Definitely bring back the old comment system.

Maybe include notifications to tell you when a new album gets added from an artist you like. For example when a new Muse album is added, I’ll get a notification because I requested a leak notification for their last album (The 2nd Law), or I’ll get one because Muse are added to my favorite bands list.

Yeah an app would be cool. The Disqus comment system is fine with me, much easier to load and much faster. Regarding the stream/leaks separation, I think it’s a good idea. Some people (like me) would rather listen to a good quality version of the album instead of a stream (which is often in compressed quality).

A ” revamp ” notifications system that follows your old requests of albums/artists.

If, for example, the band ” Editors ” have made an album in 2008 and i’d follow the post on Hasitleaked, you’ll get a notice (or a mail maybe) some kind of reminder that, in the past, you’ve follow this band, the album, since their new album is out soon (in 2013). I see it as a kind of ” favorites ” and follow-up thing. Don’t get me wrong, the notifications system is actually great. I would love to see the same features and presentation of this system, maybe like a facebook notification page. I’m not quite sure yet.

A way to see what releases are upcoming (according to official release date) so you can see which albums might be leaking soon or to make it easier to find albums you want to be notified of when they leak!

The ability to follow artists would be great, as well as album recommendations.

I hate how the log in system works right now. If I’m on an album page and log in, I get kicked back to the front page and need to navigate back to the album page. I would like to see that fixed

I like the album recommendations idea, something like what amazon.com does, for example: if you are searching for a specific artist, you may provide other artists with similar styles, or under the same label. ect

An information about genre near album cover on the list of recently leaked. And an app for iOS (not only for iPhone!) would be great.

Yes scrap the new disqus comment feature and I would really be in favor of seperating streams from real leaks. I’d also like to see the genre more prominently displayed next to an album. Member reviews & recommendations (losers) are always nice. Most of all, I would really love to follow a favorite artist and know when one of their albums leak that I may of not known to click on the notification. That would be something awesome above all else!

    1. Easier to navigate or make an app. If I click on an artist under alternative and than click back, take me back to alternative not the home page.
    2. Ability to follow artists for future releases
    3. More artists listed and keep them listed under the category until it’s release date
    4. More artists per page under new releases, I should be able to scroll for days

I would like to have an easier and faster method to login. An option in the main bar (next to – ‘search’ option) would be better.

And yeah, separate the option of report streams and leaks. The best thing to do.

Being able to post the Artist’s twitter or facebook posts about the new albums coming up. This way any updates about an album coming out will be sourced straight to them.

The profile page could be better. For example the albums could be under the “favorite artists” section with the pictures of the albums visible on the profile page. I also think having a rating system would be great and also to be able to follow an artist. Also I’m not sure if anyone ever complained about this but for the last 3 or 4 album alerts my e-mails were sent to spam. I don’t usually get spam in google mail so I didn’t check. I marked them as “not spam” and I hope it won’t happen again. But this maybe happened just to me so then maybe it’s not a problem. Anyway, I’m happy you guys want to improve this site! :)

a calendar with the albums (cover art)
    > a filter that shows the normal album release-date
    > a filter that shows the date when albums were marked as leaked
    > a filter for the albums you selected to follow (?)

I recommend a android app with push alerts “not a rushed app that people will hate or lacks features’ as you will see growth way beyond you ever seen. Desktop and laptops wi always be around but not for entertainment. Mobile devices is the only way to reach mass audiences.

Latest album leaks and recently leaked should be rework and even more apparent. It’s the most important part of the website.
