Directed by Kévin Bray.
I’ve played UK artist Gwilym Gold’s tracks several times on our podcast, and expressed how his album A Paradise is like no other album this year, with its warm piano and strings matched together with Gold’s delicate words and beautiful voice. While many of his album tracks have been accompanied by music videos, director Kévin Bray does it best, with his interpretation of the song A Greener World.
Bray says, “For each scene, both the singer as well as the environment where he performs have been 3D scanned. Scanning a body, by its very nature, generates a rare and private moment between the artist and his audience. The post-production is then built up in order to illustrate the thoughts of Gwilym. Personally, I chose this track as my own opener for the 5 Track Mixtape Competition, which you can listen to below. My own interpretation of the lyrics and song is a bit different from Bray’s.
