Lady Gaga has revealed the title of her upcoming album to be ARTPOP, and she has requested that "Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title it's all in the details."
The album title has made it to the singers arm in form of a tattoo. And the forthcoming release has been described more as a "project" than an actual regular album. I'm guessing she's referring to a conceptual album.
The following tidbits were mentioned, by Has it Leaked member Mikey Xi, in the comment section. These are primarily sourced from Gaga's Twitter account.
- Gaga wants to release an app along with this album that will allow fan interaction, games, and the possibility of being able to release more music as time goes on. October 29th she said that the app "IS COMING ALONG"
The album cover was designed by Jeff Koons.
The tracklist has now been added, which includes Aura, Jewels n' Drugs, Do what you want, Artpop and Applause.

Not really sure what to expect with this album in my opinion her albums are getting worse. I’m not hating but the fame was so amazing and the fame monster was also really good and born this way was pretty good but i hope this isn’t going to follow the same path :(
see now I prefer born this way more than fame, because where fame just really focused on the beats and all that stuff we hear pushed out every day, the messages were weak, where as in born this way, the lyrics and messages in the songs are much bolder.
See although i agree with you about the messages getting deeper im not sure that’s always a good things, what i liked about fame monster was that it had meanings behind the songs that you could hear if you WANTED to, but could enjoy the beats as well, where as born this way in my opinion was far too over thought and much too deep for the general public (I,e Mainstream crowds)
I enjoy deep music but as far as Lady GaGa goes I am definitely hoping for more of a pop/alternative sound, rather than just plain depressing/deep/unexplainable.

fame was just full of dull commercial pop songs for the sheeple. I like it how she is now experimenting and making proper music instead of just trying to please the mindless majority.

The release date of this album is still unknown, but Wikipedia says that it’s planned for Spring 2013. If so, then we should here so more details anytime soon.
It has been confirmed that ARTPOP will drop this summer!

According to her sister and makeup artist’s Facebook pages, something is supposed to be either released/announced this week. I do hope a single is dropped because it has been far too long with nothing coming out from Gaga.

-She plans to release two volumes of ARTPOP, one for radio-friendly music hits, and one for the more experimental tracks
-There are plans to release one film (or more?) for each track of the album, and on the first episode of MonsterVision she announced a contest of a fan directing a video.
-Producers/writers she might be working with: Zedd, RedOne, Madeon, Dallas Austin, DJ White Shadow, Vincent Herbert, and Fernando Garibay
-Possible song titles: ARTPOP, Sex Dreams, Tea, Princess Die, Burqa/**rq*, G.U.Y. (Girl Under You), “_ _____ __ ____ _”
-Possible collaborators: Azealia Banks, Elton John, Beyonce (speculated), Douglas Alrich (guitarist of Whitesnake), Kendrick Lamar
Cher is another possibility.
It is confirmed that Lady Gaga’s new single will be released on August 19 and her ARTPOP album/app on November 11.

“Sex Dreams” was rumored to be ARTPOP’s second single, chosen by fans at the start of September 2013 but then on September 21 Gaga said we might not have heard the second single and that she wants to pick a song that is more ‘her’.. The second single will be released before the ARTPOP album release, confirmed by Gaga also on the same day :)

Mostly you’re right, but there won’t be any Burqa song – it’s Aura, she just changed the title (in my opinion burqa was a better option).

I think that ARTPOP is a really pretentious name for an album. As for its contents… We’ll see.
