AFI have announced that they will release Burials, their ninth studio album on October 22 via Republic Records. Additionally, they will embark on a headlining tour with Touche Amore this fall.
Of the album, vocalist Davey Havok said in a statement, "This record is of silence, of burials, and the burials that result from that silence. It’s of betrayal, cruelty, weakness, anxiety, panic - deep and slow - despair, injury and loss. And in this it is shamefully honest and resolutely unforgiving.”
Singles:
- I Hope You Suffer (July 22)
- 17 Crimes (August 6)
- The Conductor (September 9)
So stoked!!! I hope it’s better than their last album. And hopefully they finally release The View From Here

23yrs Of AFI…. and their still going strong! cant wait for this Album
So stoked! I was seriously disappointed with Crash Love (except the B Sides) but this holds so much promise with I Hope You Suffer and 17 Crimes!
Their B sides and unlisted tracks are always their best. (Everything from All Hallows -> Sing the Sorrow was perfect though, so not included.)
agreed!
“All Hallows” – You misspelled “Black Sails”.
You’re right – Black Sails came out just before. I thought it was the other way around.
Going to be record of the year.

I hope this leaks soon… 3 songs down, and they keep getting better. Amazing job done by AFI thus far!
The Conductor is already up for download in the iTunes store. So far three tracks are out, and ten remain in some metaphorical vault somewhere.
There have already been two major publications that have gotten their hands on Burials, so who knows. It could be any day now.
Does anyone know where I can listen to The Conductor? Up in the information for the album it says it was being released as a single on Sept 9th and I haven’t seen it. I am so excited for this album!
Oh and I don’t have an iTunes account so I can’t use iTunes unfortunately. I just wanted to listen to it before I buy the whole physical album when it comes out.
Tumblr + search The Conductor … you’ll find it!
This is taking too long to leakkk ahhhh!

I promise you, this has already leaked somewhere. We just need to find it.
You mean “Press release”? Nope, it’s not leaked now.
We listened to it two days ago, and it still didn’t leaked in internet.
Possibly someone else has a full album too, but he won’t leak it (at least now).
leaked on all leaks
Can’t find a legit leak anywhere, false leak report me thinks!
The leak is real, check main page on Alterportal or GetMetal.
It leaked. Alterportal was easy to navigate and got me there pretty quickly.
Got it now! All the .rar’s seemed password protected or the site asked you to subscribe. Got it via torrent
Fuck, what an album! One of my favorites of the year, and one of the best of AFI.
