At The Soundawn is considered one of the most innovative hardcore-metal band signed up by the well-known German label Lifeforce Records (Trivium, Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn, Deadlock). Based in Modena, Italy, the band delivers an ambient yet aggressive music, melting into a unique and solid shape the variety of suggestions coming to their ears and hearts. Many have tagged them as experimental-hardcore, many as post-rock and many others as progressive-dark-metal; the sure thing is that they play an obscure heavy music capable of shaking the listeners with huge rivers of screaming guitars, as well as surrounding him of dark slow waves and ethereal shines. The debut ep “Red Square : we come in waves” was released in 2008 and received great press feedbacks, allowing At The Soundawn to be featured on worldwide popular magazines like Decibel (USA), Outburn! (Canada), Fuze (Germany) and others. Promoting the album, the band played many shows all around Europe hitting countries like Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Austria and Germany. Today, January 2010, the band has an upcoming album called “Shifting” to be released via Lifeforce Records on March 2010 in European countries and April 2010 in North America. Here is a statement from the band: “Shifting is what we live in. It is the unavoidable condition of a movement embracing people, cultures, minds and sounds. From the east to the west and back. We all are shifting. Gathering our thoughts on this condition, we tried to represent us, who we are today. Melting obscure landscapes and oriental impressions with huge streams of guitars and jazzy trumpets melodies, we shift from apparently fragile sonic architechtures to solid super-rock yelling quakes.”
