Chequerboard is the nomme de guerre of Irish musician John Lambert who blends classically tinged acoustic guitar with glitchy electronica. Delicate, detailed and emotionally charged the songs are often underpinned by found sounds and intercut with textured samples. His upcoming third album, titled 'The Unfolding', is due for release sometime in September.
