Depeche Mode, the synthpop originators who became dark-pop elder statesman, have just announced plans for a new studio album, the follow-up to 2009?s Sounds Of The Universe. The new one is called Delta Machine, and hopefully that title does not imply that they’re trying to make electronic blues now. Ben Hillier produced the album, and longtime collaborator Flood mixed it. A deluxe edition will include a 28-page book full of Anton Corbijn photos, and first single “Heaven” will also come with remixes from people like Matthew Dear and Blawan.
The best part of this news? A looming Depeche Mode arena tour. They’ve only announced European dates thus far, but American ones will surely follow. I saw them headline Lollapalooza on the Sounds Of The Universe tour, and I can say in full confidence that you should go see them if you get a chance. Check the album’s tracklist below.

Of course it hasn’t leaked. Those links for the surveys have been up for months. Depeche Mode albums usually don’t leak until about three or four weeks before actual release date.
ModehcepeD is 100% right, links, torrents have been up there ever since Delta got announced, as to when Depeche Mode albums leak we are sort of getting into that window of 3 weeks, last time SOTU leaked out about 3 weeks before so you would expect the same for this one, unless Sony locks up all the copies in the deepest cave of the universe.
Sony just provides streams to the press and listening sessions, hence no hardware that could have been copied or destributed to the wrong channels yet as in the past. Might won’t leak till the CD’s get into the stores just a few days before as in case of ‘Heaven’.
Well, Heaven was just a single, this time round the album comes in to place, much bigger thing compared to a single obviously, in terms of those streams and listening sessions you are right, Sony is desparate that this album does not see the daylight until the official release or the premiere which is on the 15-03 in hamburg in Germany, however copies are now produced and now its all about delivering them to warehouses where they wait for about 2 weeks and from that its almost certain it will leak, i expect a leak in 3-6 days, if not then its miracles how they are keeping it secret, im still getting the deluxe anyway so it wont do any harm listening to it early to be honest

Well…not just in Hamburg…Cologne is another option on March 15th too ;-) There was another listening session live twittered today…again provided via Stream only. Why should they deliver the records two weeks in advance compared to the singles? If I were them, I would sent them at the beginning of that particular week. And yes, I will buy the Deluxe version too at the very day regardless if and by when I can listen to a leak.
Yeah, I agree with you. I pre-ordered the “Delta Machine” too, but listening to one song wouldn’t do any harm to me! ;D
This is likely to be leaking in the next few days. It has (in the last few hours) been released to radio/club DJs in digital form via one of the music distribution sites. I’d imagine a DJ will probably leak it soon, even though it is digitally watermarked so whomever does is likely kissing their promos goodbye going forwards….

15 days remaining till the release in Germany and still no leak available. Must admit SONY seems to be doing a good job in protecting the album! Could be the first album since SOFAD that hasn’t leaked weeks or even months before.

Do you know what the supposed recorded session is? Well, it’s actually the Sounds Of The Universe album. Yes, that’s it, someone renamed some crappy re-encoded 128 kbps MP3 files of the Sounds Of The Universe album to ”interesting” titles like “01 Welcome to My World (missing of begining)” and so on.
Don’t waste your time, and wait for the real thing on 25 March 2013.

There is a newer album ‘leak’ circulating -faked- this has some possibly depeche mode ‘sounding’ artists and side projects, like Motor ft MLG “Man Made Machine” renamed “broken” etc. with the rest of the Delta Machine tracklist !
Man only two weeks to go and still no leak
So bummed this hasn’t leaked yet; I remember Sounds of the Universe Leaked almost 2 months before release. Delta Machine must be locked up TIGHT.
SOTU has leaked 2,5 weeks before the release date. I’m 100% sure about that, I was 1 of the 1st ppl listening to it (the leak, not a promo or something).
