Five Finger Death Punch will release The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1 on July 30, while Volume 2 is scheduled for later this fall. Eleven Seven will release the albums outside of North America. Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Zoltan Bathory recently shared, “We came off the road after a couple of great years of touring and were really amped up to write the 4th record. Everybody was in the right headspace and the band tighter than ever so it was a perfect storm. We jumped in head first and found ourselves 12-13 songs deep fairly quick but were still coming up with better and better material so we looked at each other and said…. ok why stop there? Let’s keep going. Once we passed the 24th song we knew we’re going to have to do two albums. We had this massive amount of music that’s very dear to us, possibly the best material this band has ever created. At that point there was no way to decide which songs to leave off one album. So we made the decision to release them all.”

Ugh… I don’t know if it’s the fact that three of the tracks are repeats (which is a cheap tactic to pad out the track listing), or perhaps my speakers. But this album so far, is a complete disappointment, and sounds like shit to me. The tracks sound NOTHING like their respective snippets from the band’s YouTube videos. Or perhaps I’m just spoiled on their debut album…
It’s because it was a 192K rip, that’s prob why it sounded bad lol
I doubt that; all my mp3s are capped at 192 and don’t sound bad. There are a couple nice tracks (Lift Me Up and Wrong Side of Heaven, for example), but most are just meh, to me. I’ll keep listening a little more before I completely disregard it, though.

Didn’t expect any less then this to be honest. The bands make all these songs and create an album leaving b sides off the album. If they did one then half of them wouldn’t have been on it. But they’re doing two and whatever songs they made are on both of em. I like “Dot Your Eyes”, “Watch You Bleed”, “M.I.N.E.”, “You”, “Burn MF” and the other ones are songs I wouldn’t really listen to. I know the other part will be the same way. There’s gonna be songs we’ll listen to and ones we think are songs that doesn’t really fit the others on em. It’s all about money with this which is why there isn’t one good album like they have made. They said it wasn’t possible to have them on the same day because of this “hip hop” community, which isn’t exactly music in my opinion, that they couldn’t afford to do it with rock music having less of a population and it was mentioned they weren’t going to one with the same type of songs because the other would be pointless. It’s something I think is selfish but there is songs I like on here and because I love the music they have made I will continue to listen to them.
I think it kicks ass! Downloading the FLAC version, can’t wait.
I hate to say it but I agree with you. Musically, this album is horrible. FFDP went down the shitter since their last crappy album. Its like its made to pump up 16 year olds. Just my opinion, not my cup of tea.
