A new Etienne Jaumet album will come out through Versatile Records on November 23rd.
La Visite is Jaumet's first solo longplayer since 2009's Night Music, which was produced by Carl Craig. Since then he's put out three albums as Zombie Zombie with Cosmic Neman—the most recent was a score for Narimane Mari’s 2013 film Loubia Hamra—and chalked up collaborations with Joakim, Richard Pinhas, Francois & The Atlas Mountain and James Holden.
As with most of Jaumet's output, La Visite will come out on Versatile, the long-running French outlet we profiled as label of the month back in May. It was recorded over a two-month period at the Versatile studio in Paris. The label says it's a more dance-focused record than Night Music—a possible knock-on effect of Jaumet's recent forays into DJing.
