After the success achieved with its latest visual album “Save Rock and Roll“, American rock band Fall Out Boy is currently working in the follow-up.
The band has ready a brand new single called “Centuries“. It’s planned to be released in September as the first taste of the band’s upcoming sixth studio album, scheduled to be released later this year or early 2015.
“Centuries” is scheduled to be premiered on BBC Radio 1 on Monday September 8th. Zane Lowe confirmed on air the song will take the ‘Hottest Record’ slot, alongside an interview with bassist Pete Wentz.
already? fuck yes
I can’t contain my excitement. I started rolling on the floor.
literally speechless. after the hiatus and return i was really hoping they might have one of those situations where they had loads of material post-refresh. that dream has come true. beyond excited :D
listened on Zane Lowe. first impressions were quite good, then he played it again :) very good. I’m always going to like them regardless, even with the unusual Suzanne Vega\Tom’s Diner interpolation!
Sweet1!!!
Out of the loop, didn’t even know they were back as a group!
There is a God and it is Pete Wentz.
One more day!
There is no way it hasn’t leaked… It’s going to be released today! Songs are always leaked the night before.
As per usual, this is a well crafted, amazing song! Can’t wait for what’s to come!
Really liking the new song :D
This is pure beauty :DD
Fall Out Boy’s second career is so strange to me. It sounds nothing like their old stuff (which I think was a smart move, even though I preferred their older stuff), but their new songs, particularly Centuries and My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark, sound very similar. It just feels a little foreign to me, or maybe it just sounds like they’re trying a little too hard. I don’t know what it is, but I’m happy to have them back anyway.
