The album was released on black vinyl the same day, limited edition of 1,000 copies. The band announced on Facebook that they would release a deluxe edition of the album on May 27, 2014 featuring three bonus tracks.

Their debut EP Tales Told by Dead Friends was released in 2006, and sold over 50,000 copies without any label support.[1] In July 2007, Mayday Parade released their debut album A Lesson in Romantics.
