Dance-punk revivalists return with their sixth LP, and one heck of an album cover
!!!, known by Google as Chk Chk Chk, has announced the impending release of its sixth studio LP, "As If". Serving as the follow-up to 2013’s "THR!!!ER", the new record is due out October 16th via Warp.
Along with the announcement comes the incredible artwork and two of the album’s 11 tracks. First is the disco-heavy “Freedom! ’15”, a zapping number that starts off with the lights turned down. The dimmer gets slowly pushed up, however, as it reaches towards the chorus of, “Now that you’ve got your freedom/ Your freedom/ How’s that working for ya, baby?” Sample number two is the glitchy R&B of “Sick Ass Moon”, a dark droner that provides a stark contrast to the other track.
