American rapper Eminem is back with new music once again as he prepares the release of the soundtrack’s lead single, “Phenomenal” which is produced by Shady Records’ own DJ Khalil.

The track received its first official preview on 22 May 2015 as part of an advert by Beats By Dre which features American professional basketball Draymond Green.

The track is taken from the forthcoming “Southpaw (Music from and Inspired by the Motion Picture)” official soundtrack album for the upcoming American sport-drama boxing movie “Southpaw” which also includes acting roles from Rita Ora and 50 Cent. The film is set to be released on July 24 2015 whilst the release date and tracklist for the soundtrack album is yet to be confirmed.

“We have been involved in developing Southpaw since its inception, and Eminem has dedicated himself to ensuring that this film captured his passion for the project through his music,” says Shady Records president Paul Rosenberg. “We’ve assembled a great soundtrack to accompany what’s sure to be one of the finest boxing films ever.”

“Phenomenal” premiered in full alongside its digital retailer (US) release on 2 June 2015.
