Arguably the most prolific songwriter of his generation, Lou Barlow has also been one of the most influential; thanks to his lo-fi legacy, any geek with a guitar, a four-track machine, and an unrequited crush on a girl could become an underground pop star.
The last solo album released under his own name was 2009's Goodnight Unknown. This year, he's got another new one. Brace the Wave is out September 4 via Joyful Noise.

Lou Barlow premiered the track, "Moving" off of his upcoming "Brace The Wave" album on NPR yesterday (August 4th). "Brace The Wave" is set to be released on Sept 4th later on this year.
