Soulection and Jakarta Records affiliate Mura Masa just dropped his fantastic seven-song EP entitled Someday Somewhere. The 18-year-old producer/singer delivers a variety of tracks ranging from the upbeat future bounce "Firefly" to the toned down, grime-influenced "Terrible Love." Masa brings the bright synths now endemic to Soulection's "sound of tomorrow," but is able to infuse them with vocals that display an solid range, as well as a healthy amount of bass. Someday Somewhere is an impressive effort for anyone, but considering Masa's youth, his command of genres and versatility is remarkable. The tracks on the EP range from R&B to grime to rap with an impassioned energy of a young producer; expect to see more soon from the rising artist.
