My Vitriol have worked on their second album on various occasions throughout the years. While session material has leaked in demo form, included as a few extra tracks on a live album, an EP titled A Pyrrhic Victory and a one off single, fans have been promised a new album for years but without anything materializing.
A new album was yet again promised in 2013, and this time the band took to Pledge Music to commit to the project. The album didn't, in usual My Vitriol fashion, make the deadline and instead another album was announced titled The Secret Sessions. This album is essentially what's been left out of the proper, as of yet announced, real sophomore album.
The Pledgers are currently not sure if they entitled both this b-side collection and the forthcoming, untitled, proper album. As one fan states, "In the updates for the project MVHQ have commented that "This is a release exclusive to Pledge to get new unreleased MV music to the fanbase as the official lengthier release… which is a separate release… likely to be out next year."
My understanding is that the current pledge as it stands does not entitle us to the full second album, just The Secret Sessions."
CDs have been posted and the digital version is available to pledgers from Monday 31st October 2016. The CD is now available to buy for non-pledgers also http://myvitriol.bigcartel.com/product/my-vitriol-space-tee.
