The non-Jónsi members of Sigur Rós have been composing a soundtrack for the upcoming BBC documentary, The Show Of Shows. The documentary compiles 100 years of archival footage of circuses, carnivals, and vaudeville acts, and so the soundtrack, which was recorded in Sigur Rós’ Reykjavík studio, is an attempt to mirror the sounds of those traveling forms of entertainment. The 72-minute long instrumental album is titled Circe. Circe will be released on 8/21 via Sigur Rós’ own Krunk label. The film won’t air on television until next year.
