It's been 10 years since Team Sleep – the shape-shifting alt-rock collective featuring Deftones singer Chino Moreno – released its one and only album, a self-titled 15-track set that deftly wove together strands of dream pop, shoegaze and trip hop. In that time, fans have had little reason to think that the group would ever record a follow-up, or do much of anything again. Though the band played a few shows in support of Team Sleep and recorded some additional demos, Moreno soon refocused on Deftones and eventually formed two new side projects, Crosses and Palms.
Things changed in August 2014, when Team Sleep announced that in October they would convene at Applehead Studios in Woodstock, New York, and invited a small live audience to join them as they recorded a new live album over the course of two days. That record, dubbed Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4, is set for release July 10th and includes re-workings of the group's classic material as well as official versions of songs that previously only appeared in demo form.
I hope this album to be great!!!
