Liberman is Vanessa Carlton's fifth studio album and is set for release on 23rd October.
As Vanessa wrote songs for this album, she'd often look past her piano at a painting made by her maternal grandfather. She decided to give her album her grandfather's original surname, because the painting looked the way she felt her record sounded — "kind of a psychedelic palette, but it was a very classical painting of these three nudes. It was actually the same woman, his muse." She called the album "kind of lush, trippy and beautiful...You really feel like you're falling into a rabbit hole of sounds."
I like this better than her previous album!
