After the band LOST AREA 2013 announced their split-up, singer Matteo vDiva Fabbiani comes back with a new band and a strong debut album and the fans will not be disappointed! Through the composition of the band members (Dee Dammers, formerly with THE TREATMENT, the German drummer A.ve as well as former band colleague with LOST AREA From Marengo) an individual album was put together, which brings the Goth'n'Roll back again. Like before, Matteo bewitches his fans with his deep, melodic voice and the touching, unique lyrics.
Already the first song "Love is Dead" convinces immediately with unique drumming parts and sounds that come close to an orchestra or a choir. Lyrics, which are reminiscent of love songs, hide behind top-notch music, in which one - in a positive way - runs down the back of the ice coldly. The singer's smoky voice is perfectly staged and makes you curious about the other songs ... and you will not be disappointed! Because the song "A Lession in Pain" (my absolute favorite of the album) with parts of classical music goes straight to the heart. A super ballad with absolute earworm factor.
The next title "On the other Side of Love" is much nicer. When you first listen, you can not immediately recognize that it is a romantic song, but when you listen again, it is also under the skin. In addition, small electric parts are installed, which lead to the crowd.
The fourth song of the album "A Beautiful Ending" is also a fast song, which spreads good mood and again are parts of classical music, which make the song individually and it is thereby immediately recognized among many.
"All I've Lost", a touching ballad, shows that classical music can be combined with rock.
"Living Dead Lover" starts with harder music parts and faster vocals, reminiscent of Marilyn Manson's songs. Pure classical music without drums immediately stands out and reflects the uniqueness of HELLBOULEVARD.
The song "Inferno" proves once again, that this band ballads always and again correctly in the scene. Also here you can listen to choir and piano parts.
"This is me" is a wonderful ballad that once again emphasizes Matteo's voice - the smoky pitch touches the deepest sides of the heart. Classical music shows quietly and discreetly in the background and brings out the great melancholy of the song. At the very latest of this song, you have the desire to cuddle up on the couch in the evenings and let your mind wander.
"We love to Hate", the ninth song of the album, does not leave out rocking guitars, one of the songs that reinforce the Goth Rock, and which also makes headbanging.
"Freak Parade": sometimes a song that has nothing to do with love! The guest appearance of Chris Harms gives the song a unique touch. Here, too, the constant urge to urge not to leave.
The next song "Bad Boys like me" proves once again how great classical sounds can be combined with rock music. Another favorite on my part, where you can just sing along.
"It is the End" fascinates with the start of the choir and the "creepy" organ solo, and goes over into a rocking song.
"Yet I'm here without you" is, as the name implies, a touching ballad, with which one would like to pull the lighter live.
"Nothing from you" starts with soft vocals and electronic inlays with a hard transition into a makellose guitar solo and again inspires with Matteo's unique voice. This song reminds me strongly of the band BLACK VEIL BRIDES.
The Closer "Hangover from Hell" is a undoubtedly unique and insane rock song that misses the album. HELLBOULEVARD is a complete hit.
As a conclusion, for the fans of Gothic Rock and romantic songs, this album is a MUST in the CD shelf. A strong first album by HELLBOULEVARD and I look forward to many more unique albums.
