According to all the articles I've read so far, the new Vangelis album was inspired by the ESA (European Space Agency) satellite, Rosetta. After watching the three videos released since it's announcement, it sounds like classic, 80’s era Vangelis, leaning toward his spacey, ethereal side more than sequencer based work like the Bladerunner soundtrack. It will be released on 23 September 2016 on Decca Records.
