Calm yourselves, Black Veil Bride army! In December of last year, the band released a new song "The Outsider" (heard below) and they've spent the bulk of 2017 discussing their new album and now the details have finally fallen into place. Vale has been set as the title of Black Veil Brides' fifth studio album and will be released on January 22 of next year through Lava / Universal Republic. Get a taste with the freshly released song "My Vow" above.
The new track is a punchy cut that clocks in under three minutes, bringing pendular grooves and catchy melodic leads all backed by anthemic drumming. The verse cruises with a nervous energy, halted by the more mid-tempo chorus that comes in after a brief and effective pause. Gang chants reinforce the words of Andy Biersack and there's a grandiose sense thrown in with the "woah-oh-oh-oh-oh" group chorus.
"The Latin translation of Vale is 'be well, be strong!' and central to the message of this record. We hope to continue to inspire our fans and friends to embrace their own individuality and inner strength," Biersack said about the album's title.
Explaining the themes of the record, the singer went on to say, "The central narrative once again finds 'The Wild Ones' characters facing the challenge of moving on from the pain and anguish of their past and looking to a new chapter in their lives. This concept is one that is near to my heart and I believe will resonate with those that find themselves cast on the fringe of society."
Both the album art and track listing for the John Feldmann-produced Vale can be seen below and digital pre-orders are available now at this location. Each reservation will come with a download of both "My Vow" and the previously released "The Outsider."
