'Victory Laps' is the follow-up to Wax Fang's 2014 space opera 'The Astronaut'. Between these two albums lead singer Scott Carney had to re-learn to sing due to a case of black mold inhalation. Last year the band released two songs from this album: the first track, 'Pusher' and the closing track, 'Exit Strategy'. The former shows that Wax Fang may be going in a new direction using synthesizers in place of their memorable guitar solos, while the latter sound like it could fit right in with the songs from 'The Astronaut'
