"Negative Chambers" is the collaborative project between Mat Erlandsson and Berlin-based artist and composer Yair Elazar Glotman, also known as Ketev. The record drws into their respective musical backgrounds to create an imaginary, dislocated "folk" music for the current dark ages. The composers transform traditional instruments through current production techniques, forcing the instruments to lose any connection to historical or national contexts and focuses on local sounds. In this minimal record we will be able to find instruments such as gimbri, violin, karkaba, miniature cymbals, cello, harmonium, steel string acoustic guitar, zither, transistor radio, Tibetan singing bowl, amplified plate, and piano. The record will be available in LP, in a edition of 500, on June 16th through Miasmah.
