After a series of singles (including "Water Me", "Truth Hurts", "Fitness", "Boys" and "Juice") succeeding her EP "Coconut Oil" (2016), the American rapper and singer known by her stage name Lizzo announced her new album and tour "Cuz I Love You" to April 2019.
Despite being billed as her debut full-length, Lizzo isn't brand new to the music scene, with her debut album, "Lizzobangers", being released back in 2013, followed, two years later, by "Big Grrrl Small World" in 2015, which, only one year later, was followed with the 2016 major-label "EP Coconut Oil".
After struggling with body issues at an early age, Lizzo is now a firm believer in body positivity and actively promotes self-love in many forms, which may have been one of the platforms to her success (alongside her charisma and talent, of course). Her group of back-up dancers, The Big Grrrls, consists of all plus-size dancers.
Having adopted a more Pop sound since the "Coconut Oil" EP, we can expect more hits from this Minneapolis-to-the-world singer.
