Greetings From California... is the debut album to be released by Joel and Benji Madden without the other members of Good Charlotte. The first single, titled "We Are Done" is set to be released on June 2nd. The album will be divided in half with one part being produced by Eric Valentine and the other by Joe Chiccarelli.

Greetings from California is the upcoming debut studio album by The Madden Brothers, better known for their time with Good Charlotte, which is set for release on September 12, 2014. The album's first single, "We Are Done", premiered on May 30, 2014. "We Are Done" reached #1 on the Australian iTunes songs chart. The album was made available for pre-ordering on the iTunes Store on July 4, 2014 with "California Rain" made available for immediate download. Since then they have also made available "Out of my Mind". All songs can be listened to below .
The Madden Brothers official website states that Greetings from California will be split into two sides. The first filled with upbeat, sunny pop rock produced by their long-time collaborator Eric Valentine, who also produced Good Charlotte's The Young and the Hopeless and The Chronicles of Life and Death. Side two is produced by Joe Chiccarelli, wherein "the Maddens’ radiant sibling harmonies are again front and center on songs like 'California Rain' and 'Brother,' but the music is more earthy, with a warm blend of folk, southern rock, and ’70s-era FM pop'. In a Facebook Q&A session, the brothers mentioned that Pharrell Williams co-wrote two songs on the album and that Ryan Adams will be featured on another song.
The specified release date has been updated to September 12th, 2014.
I can’t wait to hear the rest! The three songs I have heard are amazing. They’ve really stepped it up!
When I first heard ‘We Are Done’ I was worried. The song grew on me though. California Rain would fit on a Good Charlotte album which made me very happy and then Out of my Mind was a little cringey at first but then grew on me. I am happy that the brothers are releasing something that they say is truly them and I am really hyped to hear the whole thing!
