In the isolated town of Clancy, Montana, singer/guitarist Dan Murphy and guitarist Justin Benner met in the third grade, and then spent their formative years writing and recording music together. During the next decade, Murphy and Benner played over 400 shows across the States, released a record in Japan, and built a loyal regional following before making their exodus to Los Angeles in 2010. While Benner refined his skills as the band’s engineer and producer, they began playing with drummer Tim Spier in August of 2010, who they had met while touring with his former Drive-Thru Records band, Say No More. Together, they wrote the songs that would be come The Goodnight’s debut EP “Keep Control.” Bassist Miles Franco relocated from San Jose to join the band in March 2013.
Their sophomore album titled "Owlbum" will be released on November 4 on iTunes.
