After a brief stint on Distort, Kitchener, ON hardcore unit Exalt have announced they've inked up with New Damage Records to deliver their next LP.
Titled Pale Light, the group's first album for their new label home lands November 4. Exalt's sophomore set was tracked at Chicago's Bricktop Recording studio with producers Andy Nelson and Pete Grossman, with a press release describing the upcoming effort as featuring 11 tracks of "raw, chaotic hardcore."
Despite that claim, Exalt hint that the follow-up to their 2012 debut Breach False Minds is a more unified release, with the heft of the lyrics weighing in on "watching both the world and our bodies slowly perish."
"People can expect a much more focused and realized album than our past efforts," Exalt vocalist Tyler Brand said in a statement. "Consistency in the writing and style of this record I think makes it a full front to back record, instead of just a collection of songs."
