When it comes to dreamy, stonery alternative rap, there aren't many more well-known artists than Heems. Formerly of the Brooklyn based hip hop trio, Das Racist, Heems is venturing out on his own with his debut studio album, Eat Pray Thug, which is set for a January release on his label, Greenhead Music. Known for hits like "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" and "Michael Jackson", Das Racist became a cult staple in New York's hipster hip hop scene. After the group's breakup in 2012, Heems has remained relatively quiet, aside from his mixtapes "Nehru Jackets" and "Wild Water Kingdom", both released in 2012. There hasn't been an exact date or track listing announced, but there will be more details available as they are released.
