“Heartstrings” is the upcoming debut studio album by American singer-songwriter and actress Leighton Meester, best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl. This release comes as a surprise without notice after a first attempt to start recording career in 2009 when she presented her first single “Somebody to Love” with Robin Thicke. A second single “Your Love’s a Drug” was released in 2011. Both failed to debut on Billboard. After leaving Universal Music, the singer shows a new musical side, much alternative in this first album. Alongside its pre-order on iTunes, Meester unveiled the album’s title track “Heartstrings” as first countdown single on September 9th.
