Mike Kinsella, veteran of the emo scene, is releasing an album of covers called "Other People's Songs" under his solo moniker Owen. Kinsella has taken punk songs from Against Me!, The Smoking Popes, and others, and toned them down to fit his signature mellow style.
This release comes at the end of a busy year for Kinsella, who has been busy with the reissuing of American Football's self-titled emo classic, as well as work with Owls and Their / They're / There. It will be released on December 2, 2014, on Polyvinyl Records.
Anything Mike touches turns to gold.
